Mexican Thermometer
- Conversation between my mom and her mother (over the phone, in Spanish)
- Mom: Well, check yourself with your thermometer.
- Grandma: I don't have one.
- Mom: What? You don't have a thermometer?
- Grandma: No.
- Mom: Typical.
- Grandma: What?
- Mom: None of the Mexican families here have a thermometer. None. I'll go to a client's house, and the mom will have a sick kid, but they don't know how bad the fever is because they don't have a thermometer.
- Grandma: Huh.
- Mom: I guess it isn't Mexican to have a thermometer.
